In Practice

Built for shelf goods and volume

  • Fastest to apply. Peel and stick at receiving, no loops or fasteners. High volume categories get tagged at speed.
  • Shelf counts by the aisle. A handheld reader sweeps shelving and reads every labeled box and jar in range.
  • Encoded in store. Write tags one at a time from the C8001 handheld, tied to your item records in indexRFID, or run volume batches on the C8005 printer, which prints the face and writes the chip in the same pass.

Stores with mixed catalogs run adhesive labels on cosmetics and packaged goods alongside apparel hangtags on garments, all on one account. Compare formats on the labels page, or start with the Starter Kit.

Frequently Asked

RFID adhesive label questions

Are RFID adhesive labels the same as RFID stickers?

Yes. RFID sticker, smart label, and adhesive label all describe the same thing: a printable label with a UHF RFID inlay and pressure sensitive adhesive on the back. The C8101 sticks to product packaging and reads like any other EPC Gen 2 tag.

What merchandise suits adhesive RFID labels best?

Anything with a flat surface to stick to: cosmetics, fragrance, packaged goods, boxed accessories, and general retail. For garments use a hangtag format instead, and for small jewelry use a compact jewelry tag.

Why are adhesive labels the lowest cost format?

There is no tag board or fastening hardware, just the printed label and inlay. At $79.95 per 1,000 the C8101 is the lowest cost per label of the three RSG formats, which matters at cosmetics and packaged goods volumes.

Can I order RFID adhesive labels without buying a full kit?

Yes. Label packs are open to any buyer, in packs of 1,000 at $79.95 per 1,000, with card checkout and $19.95 nationwide flat rate shipping.
